On December 1st 1955 Rosa Parks sat and would not budge so Martin Luther King could dream, arise and march. On August 28th 1963 Martin Luther King marched so Barack Obama could stand and run in the 2008 Presidential race. America judged Barak Obama to have won the that Race and on 20th January 2009 he was sworn in as the United States 44th president.
The world can change for the better, but it does need people of courage to make that change.

I have to admit that this man gives me hope. I pray that he has the courage and help to help him fulfil his job, Margaret.
Peter have you picked up your award from my blog,
We are very excited here in America!
I'm waiting in fearful hope.
There's been so much damage done over the last bunch of years by the US on everything from the global economy to the people of Zimbabwe that healing will be slow. I'm not entirely sure that the damage will ever be completed repaired. And I'm very certain one man will not be able to provide perfect remediation.
If he can call on American citizens to rally around a vision of becoming a better country despite the pain and sacrifice that it will require and share in that pain and sacrifice, then we have an excellent chance of cleaning up the mess we've made of things. His initial gestures in office give me some hope.
God be with him and guide him and may he accept the help of all who extend their hand to him.
