I hope you find this Blog a resource for moral & environmental thoughts from a Christian viewpoint. "A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in".

Are you going to buy a new computer for Christmas?
Please play the above before you 'recycle' the old one, it is very important that you do so... thank you.
Oh Peter, how do we live with ourselves when we see footage like this? There are more and more things I'm becoming aware of that make me feel ashamed to be a part of our uncaring culture. I cried as I saw this, to think that I too have promoted 'Computers for Africa' and that I promote recycling, but I know that one it's out of sight, it's out of mind and I am guilty of this. I don't know how to make sense of the world sometimes.........
But thank you for sharing such an important video.
This video has shocked me. I am angry that I hadn't given much conscious thought as to where our waste like this goes. I did recycle my last computer through freecycle but I have to wonder what I woud have done with it if it had been broken.
Plastic bags used this year:
(Plastic bag counter from reusablebags.com)
Each year, an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are used and disposed of worldwide. That comes out to over one million per minute. Billions end up as litter each year, in the sea, on the earth and in streams.
My Awards
With many thanks to the amazing Mrs.A for her award above. the very generous judges of The UK Christian Web Awards, for the award below and Margaret for hers.
