So, who thought they improve on the flexibility of God’s design by using GM?

Yes, there they are, square melons! Grown in square glass containers they are easy to pack and transport and easy to fit into the fridge. It just shows what can be done without altering the genetics of His creation.

That's just not right...square melons should be banned by the EU. It's for posts like this Peter that I've got an award waiting for you over at my site, so please pop over when you're ready to pick it up ;-D

How do they get them out of the bottles?

I remember doing an experiment as a child where we placed a bottle over a baby cuke, let it grow until it would no longer fit through the mouth of the bottle, and then pickle it. Then we could amaze our friends by showing them our cool giant pickle in a little jar.

I definitely think someone had too much time on their hands to come up with this one, though....

Dude, those are some wicked-cool melons! I'm with BG, though, in wondering how the heck you'd get the melons OUT of the jars, without breaking the jars (thereby creating more refuse).

Thanks for sharing, Peter!
